Student Information

Searching for an internship, co-op, or full-time position is labor intensive and extremely challenging. It is the role of the Anderson CSO to help students through every phase of the search.

Like every career center in the US, we do not

  1. Provide each student with an internship and/or full-time position.
  2. Guarantee each student will be able to interview with their employer of choice.

We will, however,

  1. Develop relationships with employers that lead to recruiting opportunities for students.
  2. Provide students with the resources, tools, and personalized advising necessary to achieve successful results.
  3. Work with students to help design an independent job search strategy to compliment their on-campus recruiting activities.
  4. Manage an on-campus recruiting process and environment that is fair and open for all students.
  5. Teach MGMT 398 Career Management Skills, each semester

The bottom line is very clear; students will not find suitable employment without taking ownership of the career search process. We can’t find a job for you. Additionally, students will not be 100% satisfied with their results if they do not execute an independent internship or job search in parallel to the many and varied opportunities that come through the Anderson CSO.

To ensure proper progress and, an ultimately a successful search, we suggest students utilize the career management checklist as an organizational tool.
