Mia brings over 26 years of organizational development, performance improvement and instructional experience. She is passionate about learning and supporting organizations, teams and individuals to strategically achieve their goals. Emily Ortiz

emilyEmily Ortiz is a Human Resources Specialist with the U.S. Forest Service.  Emily has been recognized as a strong leader who has developed and mentored individuals within the New Mexico community.  She received both her Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management. Darrell Garcia

Darrell Garcia is the Senior Alumni Relations Officer at the Anderson School of Management. His approach to education stems from the belief that knowledge must be meaningful and relevant to one’s life and interests. By utilizing real-life experiences, combined with the fundamentals of project-based instruction and shared inquiry, Darrell hopes to help students improve their career marketability and gain the skills necessary to be successful post university students. Passionate about real-time changes happening in society, he works to integrate these current events and information into all aspects of his instruction.


Matt Yepez

Matt Yepez has over 5 years experience as the Director of Recruiting for a Fortune 100 financial services company and is passionate about helping students build and strengthen their personal brands.  Through Matt's corporate experience, he has gained an insight into the recruiting world and enjoys sharing that knowledge with students to help them successfully navigate the task of searching for an internship/career.  Matt is also passionate about networking in the local community and enjoys connecting students to career and volunteer opportunities.  Matt currently serves on the board of the UNM Young Alumni Association and the Children's Grief Center.  Matt is also the instructor for the Internship Course (MGMT 497/697).  Please feel free to reach out anytime.  myepez@unm.edu or on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/in/mattyepez
